How to prepare

IF YOU ONLY READ ONE THING
Moving to a partner app is the simplest thing you can do, and it's the only route that keeps your account active after 20 December 2026. In the first step, some partner apps may let you import your existing Gnosis Pay card and Safe setup. Later, when the partner programme goes live, you'll accept new terms and receive a partner card. Most eligible migrations won't require new ID checks, but some partner onboarding or compliance checks may still apply.
1 ยท MOVE TO A PARTNER APP
If you use the Gnosis Pay web app (not the Gnosis App) or Zeal, this is your first step - it's the shortest path through the rest of this list and takes care of several items on its own. Already using another app? Skip to step 2.
Some eligible moves do not require new identity checks, but partner onboarding or compliance checks may still apply.
You keep a working card. The Gnosis Pay card and the web app stop together on 20 December, so moving before then is what keeps you spending until your partner moves to its new card programme
Your new app handles your day-to-day support, and we're still here for anything about your Gnosis Pay account
Later, when your app upgrades to the new platform, you'll accept new terms and receive a partner card - you'll be told before that happens
๐ Which apps you can move to- what's available depends on which app you use today and which currency your card is in.
If you'd rather not move, that's a legitimate choice and the rest of this page still applies. ๐ What happens if you do nothing
2 ยท CHECK THAT YOU CAN ACCESS YOUR WALLET
Find the wallet (EOA) that owns your Safe and check you can still open it. The quickest test is to sign in to the web app with it while that's still available โ if you can sign in, you still have control. Check you also have its recovery phrase stored somewhere safe.
If you don't...and you later lose that wallet, the funds in your Safe can't be recovered by anyone. This is the only item here that can't be fixed afterwards.
3 ยท CONSIDER ADDING A SECOND OWNER TO YOUR SAFE
A second wallet you control means you're not dependent on a single one. Nothing about this has changed with the wind-down - but you can add owners in the web app today, and after 20 December you'd be doing it on-chain yourself, which is more technical.
In the web app: Account โ Account details โ Edit โ Add address.
There's a 3-minute delay while it confirms, and your card is briefly restricted.
Worth reading before you do it - any owner has full control of your Safe, so this is a trade-off rather than a straight upgrade. ๐ If you've lost access to your wallet
4 ยท IF YOU HAVE A EUR IBAN, CHECK WHAT PAYS INTO IT
Salary, standing orders, regular payments from other people. Your IBAN keeps working after your card stops โ incoming transfers arrive in your own wallet, so they're never out of reach, but money landing in a wallet you've stopped opening is money you can forget about.
Either redirect it, or move your IBAN to a wallet you're actively using. Your IBAN is provided by Monerium, and you can manage it directly with them. ๐ Getting money to a bank account
5 ยท EXPORT YOUR TRANSACTION HISTORY
You'll want it for tax, expenses or a future dispute, and it's much harder to reconstruct later. Do it before 20 December 2026
In the web app, go to your main page and use the Download Card Transactions button above your transaction list.
If you don't...you can still request your records from us afterwards, but it's slower than downloading them yourself.
6 ยท RAISE ANYTHING OUTSTANDING
Disputes, refunds you're still waiting on, a cashback you think is wrong. You can still contact us long after your card stops, but it's simpler while everything is live.
