Sending your funds out of your Gnosis Card Safe is easy - just follow a few simple steps and your funds will be transferred in no time!
However, there are a few important things to keep in mind before sending out your funds. This process is a bit different than directly making transactions on your Safe or with your typical EOA (externally owned account) wallet. The difference is due to the delay module, once you initiate a transaction to send out funds, your card will be locked for 3 minutes. During this period, no card transactions will be processed.
IMPORTANT: It is essential to note that you should only send funds out of your Card Safe to a wallet on Gnosis Chain. Sending funds to a wallet on any other chain or platform is highly discouraged. Specifically, do not send EURe or xDai to a centralized exchange deposit address, a Safe address on another chain, or any other wallet you do not have full control over. This is because transactions on blockchain are irrevocable, meaning that once the transaction is processed, it cannot be cancelled or reversed. If you send your funds to the wrong address, we will not be able to assist you in getting them back!
In case you accidentally send funds to an exchange deposit address, you should reach out to that specific exchange for assistance. They may be able to help you retrieve your funds, but there is no guarantee. To avoid such a situation, please make sure to double-check the wallet address & the chain before initiating any transactions.
Step by Step Guide for Sending Out Funds from Gnosis Card Safe
Step 1: Click on 'Send Funds' on the Transactions Dashboard
Go to your Transactions dashboard and choose "Send Funds".
Step 2: Enter the outgoing wallet address.
Enter an address on Gnosis Chain for the funds to be sent.
WARNING: Do not send to an exchange deposit address or a Safe account not deployed on Gnosis Chain or your funds may be lost!
Step 3: Select the token you want to send out.
Step 4: Enter the Amount
Step 5 : Confirm and execute the transaction.
Step 6: Wait for the delay period to end
After you confirm and execute the transaction, you will not be able to make payments with your card for 3 minutes. You will see the countdown and the status on the bottom right of the page.
