Q: What is Gnosis Pay?

Gnosis Pay is the first Decentralized Payment Network (DPN), removing the barriers between traditional finance and decentralized finance (DeFi).

Q: What is the Gnosis Card?

Gnosis Pay’s first product is the Gnosis Card: A self-custodial Visa debit card enabling you to spend your digital assets in the traditional economy using the Gnosis Pay Network.

Q: Who is eligible for Gnosis Card?

Anyone above 18 years of age and resident in one of the eligible countries (list here) can purchase a Gnosis Card pending a KYC Approval.

Gnosis Cards will first be launched in Europe, with plans to launch in US, Brazil and India.

Q: Is Gnosis Card secure?

Gnosis Card is certified by Visa, adheres to EMVCo standards, and is as secure as any other debit card.

Q: What can I do with my Gnosis Card?

You can make purchases with your Gnosis Card at any Visa terminal, no different than any other Visa card.

Q: Where are my funds stored?

Funds are only ever stored on Safe, the most trusted smart contract crypto wallet, operating on Gnosis Chain, one of the most decentralised community-run EVM chains.

Q: Are there any fees associated with Gnosis Pay?

There is a cost of EUR 30.23 to purchase the card.

Q: Can I use my existing Safe with Gnosis Pay?

Since we deploy a new Safe on Gnosis Chain with configuration to comply with Gnosis Card, we don’t support it at the moment.

Q: Is KYC needed during the sign-up process?

Yes, we use Fractal as our KYC partner. The user is required to provide ID proof, proof of address and a liveness check selfie.

Q: When trying to order a card, it says “We’re doing a limited release, and you don’t have access to it just yet”

We are operating a waitlist as we roll out gradually. Currently, users who have minted a POAP from our EthCC booth are whitelisted to order cards. Please sign up on the waitlist as we are already whitelisting more users on a rolling basis.

Q: Can I connect and transfer funds from any wallet?

We support EVM compatible EOA wallets at the moment. You can transfer funds from any token on any EVM chain.

Q: I am encountering the issue “Something went wrong with the payment of your card”. The funds have been debited but I don’t see a confirmation of the order.

Please email [email protected] with your Name, Email ID and the origin wallet address (EOA) for us to investigate or click on the support bubble in the bottom right corner of the registration app. In any case, the users funds will not be lost as they will either be in the EOA on Gnosis Chain or on the Gnosis Card Safe (owned by user’s EOA).

Q: I need to make a change to the shipping address I provided during sign-up.

Please email [email protected] with your Name, Email ID and the origin wallet address (EOA) for us to investigate and update details.

Q: Can I spend my ETH or BTC or other tokens with the card?

No, due to the self custodial nature of the product, you will need to swap your tokens to EURe (if you have the EEA card) or GBPe (if you have the UK card) to be able to spend.
