Withdrawing after your card stops

There's no deadline on this. Your Safe is on Gnosis Chain and belongs to you — it doesn't expire and it doesn't depend on Gnosis Pay existing.

While the web app is still running, there's a simpler route.

Log in, go to Send Funds, and move your money like any other transfer. This page is for the direct withdrawal page, which works with or without the app - and it's the only route after 20 December

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • xDAI for gas, in the wallet you're signing with - not in the Safe. You'll need enough for two transactions, because the direct withdrawal happens in two steps with a delay between them.

  • A destination address on Gnosis Chain. Not an exchange deposit address, and not an address on another network.

BEFORE YOU START: CHECK WHAT YOU'RE HOLDING

It's easy to move the token you were watching and leave something behind. Look for:

TOKEN

WHAT IT IS

EURe, GBPe or USDCe

Your spending balance - whichever your card used. EURe and GBPe are issued by Monerium, USDCe is bridged USDC.

GNO

If you held it for cashback. It sits in the Safe like any other token - nothing staked, nothing to unstake. Not spendable on the card.

xDAI

Gas. Leave enough until you're completely finished.

Anything else*

Tokens Gnosis Pay doesn't support need a different route. 📄 Recovering funds sent by mistake

HOW TO WITHDRAW

  1. Go to app.gnosispay.com/withdraw

  2. Connect the wallet that owns your Safe

  3. Enter your destination address. It must be on Gnosis Chain, and it must be a wallet you hold the private keys to - not an exchange deposit address.

    Check the address before you submit.

    Blockchain transactions can't be reversed, and tokens sent to an exchange deposit address may not be recoverable.

  4. Submit the first transaction and pay the gas

  5. Wait for the delay to pass, then submit the second transaction. This is a built-in security feature of your Safe, not a fault.

Don't send away all your xDAI in the first transaction.

If you have nothing left for gas on the second, you can't finish - and topping up means getting xDAI from somewhere else first. It's the most common way this gets stuck.

IF YOU HAVE NO XDAI AT ALL

You can get a small amount free from the official Gnosis Chain faucet.

If that doesn't work, contact us and we can send you enough to complete a withdrawal. We'll do this for as long as we're supporting Gnosis Pay customers. 📄 How to get support

CHECK IT'S ACTUALLY EMPTY

Look up your Safe address on a block explorer such as Gnosis Scan and confirm zero balances across every token, not just the one you moved.

THAT'S IT

There's nothing else to do and nothing to change about the Safe itself.

You do not need to remove the Gnosis Pay modules. That's an advanced smart-contract operation, mistakes can cost you access to your Safe, and we can't walk you through it or undo it. Withdrawing is enough.

WATCH THE ADDRESS FOR A FEW WEEKS

Refunds and reversals from earlier card transactions are paid back into your Safe and can arrive well after you've emptied it. Check the address before assuming a refund has gone missing.
