What happens to your data

Last updated: September 18, 2026

If you only read one thing
Closing your account doesn't delete everything. We're legally required to keep certain records for a set period, whatever you ask us to do.

Requesting a copy of your data

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you - a Data Subject Access Request.

  1. Email help@gnosispay.com and say clearly that you'd like to make a Data Subject Access Request

  2. We'll ask you to confirm your identity

  3. We'll compile and send your data securely, within the legal time frame

You can do this now, and after your account closes, for as long as we hold the records below.

Export your transaction history before 20 December 2026

You have a right to export your own data, and it's much easier to do it on the webapp than on-chain. You'll want it for tax, expenses or a future dispute.

In the web app, go to your main page and use the Download Card Transactions button above your transaction list. 📄 How to prepare

After 20 December you can't download your history yourself. You can still request a copy of your data from us, but it's a formal Data Subject Access Request and takes longer. Download it while you can.

Your on-chain transactions stay permanently visible on Gnosis Chain - look up your Safe address on a block explorer. That shows the movement of funds, but not merchant names or card-level detail.

Closing your account and deleting your data

  1. Email us and request account closure and data deletion

  2. Confirm your identity

  3. Give final confirmation - this is irreversible

  4. Your card is deactivated and your account permanently closed

Your funds aren't affected. Your Safe is self-custodial, so closing your account doesn't move your money - and app.gnosispay.com/withdraw keeps working regardless. 📄 Withdrawing after your card stops

What we have to keep, and for how long
