Is Gnosis Pay shutting down?
No. But we are providing early warning that the last of our consumer interfaces - including the web app - will be wound down by the end of the year.
In 2025 Gnosis Pay moved from a consumer card focus, to deliver card programs that solve the last mile spending problem for any Wallet, FinTech or Neobank. That part of Gnosis Pay is growing strongly and the latest release will have significant benefits for end cardholders.
We are incredibly proud of our history and grateful for our early cardholders. But we can’t continue to develop and maintain consumer interfaces in the way that we would want.
You will be able to continue to use Gnosis Pay card programs but, by the end of this year, it will be entirely under-the-hood of our partners’ apps.
What's ending is our consumer side:
The app.gnosispay.com dashboard and the Zeal App.
The full background is in our announcement, Gnosis Pay: The Next Era.
FAQ section here.
Does this affect me?
If you are a web app user:
Yes, you will need to move to a partner app. The Gnosis Pay web app will be wound down by end of year and we are encouraging users to migrate now to a partner app. That way you have time to get familiar with the new app, while the web app is still there if you need it.
If you are a Zeal user:
As of today, Zeal has not confirmed their future plans and we are advising anyone that wishes to continue using Gnosis Pay into the future to migrate. Rebind are running an incentive until Sept 9th and built a custom migration flow for you. More information below.
If you use MiniPay:
You’re already using the new platform under-the-hood. You’re good to go.
If you use Gnosis App or another partner:
There is no action needed from you right now. Your partner will provide updates in coming weeks.
How the move works
If you are a web app user (e.g. app.gnosispay.com) and want to continue using Gnosis Pay, the smoothest path is as follows:
-
Migrate to a partner app.
Your Gnosis Pay account and IBAN come with you. Nothing about your card changes at this point. Rebind are running an incentive until Sept 9th and built a custom migration flow for you. More information below.
-
Your partner app moves to the new platform, and you move with them.
This is when the new capabilities arrive and new cards are issued. Each partner is working to its own timeline, and your partner will share updates directly as they become available.
As of today, Zeal has not confirmed their future plans and we are advising anyone that wishes to continue using Gnosis Pay into the future to follow those same steps.
Otherwise, your partner will support you through the next steps directly.
You don't have to move today.
But moving early means you will have both for a while - time to get familiar with your partner's app and features while the web app is still there if you need it.
Leave it until your card stops working and you will be switching with no overlap and no fallback.
What you can do now
Move to a partner app, your Gnosis Pay account and IBAN move with you. When your partner is ready to upgrade to the new platform, you upgrade with them.
This is the way to maintain your account and also benefit from a new platform that will enable many of the things we’ve been working towards for a long time. Things like instant reversals, instant withdrawals, better privacy etc.
We will provide more updates in coming weeks and will ensure migration paths stay open for as long as possible, but migrating today is the smoothest path.
Rebind are running an incentive until Sept 9th and built a custom migration flow for you. See below.
Set up a backup card before 30 September
After 30 September we won't be issuing new cards on existing accounts. If you lose your only card after that date, you won't be able to spend until your partner moves to the new platform and issues your new card.
You can avoid this now, for free: create one or two backup virtual cards, or order a spare physical card. Both take a couple of minutes in the web app, and both are worth doing whether or not you migrate.
If you hold a EUR card
Rebind is the option available now. They will be the first partner live on the new platform on Gnosis chain - the same chain your Gnosis Pay account already uses - and they have built migration flows specifically for web app and Zeal users.
Your Gnosis Pay account and IBAN move with you. No new ID checks etc.
Here are the migration flows that the Rebind team created for you.
- From app.gnosispay.com: rebind.co/gnosis-pay
- From Zeal: rebind.co/zeal - open this from the browser inside the Zeal app
Rebind also have a limited-time welcome offer of up to €100 for web app users who move across by 9 September 2026. That offer is Rebind's, on Rebind's terms. More information here.
More partners will be going live on Gnosis chain after them. If you are with one of our partners, they will keep you up to date on their progress towards upgrading to the new card platform.
If you hold a GBP card
None of the current partners support GBP on Gnosis Chain yet. However, all partners are developing their own service offer and the choice to add GBP has been presented. We will also continue expanding our partner network.
Outside of Gnosis Chain, MiniPay already offer card services to UK residents, but this is currently via their USDC and USDT offering on the Celo Network. You also cannot migrate your current account and would need to create a fresh account with them.
We are working with partners to identify solutions and will keep you updated.
If you hold a USD card
Most of our partners are still finalising the details of their future offer, but we are confident that there will be options available to you. You will then benefit from improvements including things like instant withdrawals, instant reversals, better privacy, better card controls etc.
Outside of Gnosis Chain, MiniPay already offer card services to a selection of residents via our enterprise card platform, but this is currently via their USDC and USDT offering on the Celo Network.
You also cannot migrate your current account and would need to create a fresh account with them.

Common questions
Do I keep my account, my IBAN and my card?
Migrating to another partner today will have no impact on your account, IBAN, and card.
For webapp users, you don't have to move today. But moving early means you will have both for a while - time to get familiar with your partner's app and features while the web app is still there if you need it. You will also be able to sign up to other partners separately once they have fully migrated to our new platform.
IMPORTANT : when your partner moves to the new platform, you will be invited to join them. Once you accept that move, new partner cards and a new card SAFE address will be issued. This may require repointing your IBAN to a new address.
Will I need to do ID checks again?
No. If you currently have a GnosisPay account and you move to a partner wallet you will be migrated over with them when they upgrade to the new card program.
Will I keep my cashback if I move?
Yes, but the GNO cashback will stop - as planned - on September 30th across all partners that are part of it.
Any future cashback or incentives will be provided directly by the partner applications and is entirely at their discretion.
The gCRC cashback program that was offered by Gnosis App already stopped.
What happens to physical cards?
Physical cards keep working and moving to a partner app today doesn't change that.
However, once the partner has migrated to the new card platform they will be able to issue their own cards. As soon as you choose to migrate with them onto the new card platform, your Gnosis Pay card will stop working and you will be issued with a partner card. All partner cards will initially be digital / virtual cards only, but with options to add physical card in future at their discretion.
There will be very clear communication before you are asked to take any action that could affect the functionality of your existing cards.
If you choose not to move onto the new card program, your Gnosis Pay card and the web app will be wound down by the end of this year. We will continue to provide regular updates.
Will my subscriptions and recurring payments still work?
Simply migrating to a partner app doesn't change your card details, so subscription and recurring payments will continue as normal.
However, once the partner has migrated to the new card platform you will be invited to migrate with them. Once you do so, your Gnosis Pay card will stop working and you will be issued with a partner card. At this point recurring payments will need to be updated.
There will be very clear communication before you are asked to take any action that could affect the functionality of your existing cards.
What if I do nothing?
Your funds remain yours and stay in your control.
By the end of 2026 the web app (app.gnosispay.com) will be discontinued and Gnosis Pay cards will be wound up in favour of partner cards. The only functionality that we will maintain on the web app is the ability to withdraw your funds.
You will always be able to withdraw your funds. They remain yours and stay in your control.
However, we hope you will consider moving to one of our partners and joining us in the new era.
I have a dispute or refund in progress. What happens to it?
Open disputes and refunds will be handled through to completion, regardless of any changes. You can contact us about them at any point during and after the change.
Your funds will always be a priority.
What happens if I lose my card after 30 September?
You won't be able to spend your funds until your partner moves to the new platform and issues your new card. You'll still be able to withdraw your funds at any time.
This is why we'd suggest setting up a backup card before 30 September - see [What you can do now]. Both virtual and physical backups are free.
Is the €100 offer from Gnosis Pay?
No. It's Rebind's offer, on Rebind's terms. More information here.
How do I get support once the web app has closed?
If you've moved to a partner then all support will be through them.
If you haven’t then you can still reach us and we will do everything we can to help you.
