Report a lost or stolen card

Freeze your card first.

It's instant, you don't need us, and it stops anyone using it while you work out what's happened.

1 · Freeze the card

Log in to the web app, go to Card Details, select the card if you have more than one, and toggle Freeze Card. If you signed up through a partner app, you can freeze it there instead.

Freezing is reversible. If the card turns up, unfreeze it with the same toggle.

2 · Check your recent transactions

Look for anything you don't recognise. If there is something, note the merchant, date and amount - you'll need those when you contact us.

3 · Tell us

Get in touch through this help centre or email help@gnosispay.com, with what happened and the last four digits of your card.

We'll cancel the card and confirm by email. Your funds aren't affected - they stay in your Safe.

Freezing the card yourself is still the fastest protection at any time of day.

4 · If money has gone

Freeze, or report it gone for good?

Reporting a card lost or stolen cancels it permanently. You can order a replacement up to 20 December 2026, but it takes time to arrive - and after that date no replacements are possible at all.

If there's any chance it'll turn up, freeze it and leave it frozen. Only report it if you're sure.

A virtual card is instant if you need to keep spending while you decide. In the web app, go to the Cards tab and choose Add Card.

Freeze your card first if you haven't already.

Nobody legitimate will ever ask for your recovery phrase or seed phrase — not Gnosis Pay, not a partner app, not a support agent. We will never ask, and we will never message you first.

Be careful during the changes. Scammers take advantage of them. Watch for fake "migrate your Gnosis Pay account" sites, fake partner offers, and anyone offering to help you move your funds.
